ACTIVITIES FOR 2016 – 2017 SEASON
CARDS: Everyone is welcome to join us in the Clubhouse library on weeknights to play cards.
Canasta is at 1 PM, All others begin at 7 PM

CHRISTMAS CAROLING:
This is held once a year on a Sunday evening in
December.
Light up your golf cart and get into the
procession.
There are flatbed trucks to carry
carolers also.
We go to shut-in Villa residents, singing
and giving them a plate of homemade cookies.
Afterwards, the carolers all come back to
the clubhouse for cookies and hot chocolate.

COMEDY CLUB:
This group puts on a SELL OUT show once a
year, plus a few teaser skits at Potluck or a
Saturday morning breakfast. Everyone is invited
to join; you never know if you have the “knack”!

CRAFTS:
This winter Craft day will be held on the
1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, November
through March.
Watch the newsletter and the bulletin
board for information to sign up for each craft.
Over the years’ craft classes have varied
by interest and to what’s trending. |

EXERCISE:
See Golf…Hiking…Line Dancing…Pickleball…Water Aerobics |

4 WHEELING:
There are quite a few residents who now
have 4 wheelers and love to explore.

GOLF:
Starts in November on Mondays.
Call Jim Boyle for a foursome or

HIKING:
Wednesday mornings.
Meet at clubhouse at 7:45. Hikes are easy
hikes,
stop and smell the roses!
Good for beginners and good workout for
seasoned walkers.
Usually about 3-5 miles round trip.
Sign-up sheet and destination + length on
bulletin board each week. |

JAM SESSIONS:
November through March on Thursdays 1-3
PM in the clubhouse hall.
Open to all pickers and listener and
dancers!
Refreshments. |

LADIES DAY OUT:
November - March a light luncheon is held
at the library.
Each month 3 –4 ladies sign up to Hostess
and provide a light meal.
(Each lady attending pays $3 for lunch
and covers cost) Small program or game by
hostesses.
April—October the ladies remaining in the
Villa go out to eat each month.
Ladies Day Out is held on the 3rd
Wednesday of each month. |

LINE DANCING:
Excellent exercise, good for beginner dancers
also.
Held Thursdays 9-11 in the clubhouse.
Just show up. |

PICKLEBALL:
There will be sign-up sheets on the bulletin
board.
Held at Apache Junction Prospectors Park
on Tuesdays 4-6 PM. Cost is $2. |

QUILTING:
Ladies of all skill levels are welcome.
Come and check us out, visit, learn,
iron, learn to “tie” quilts.
Try your hand at making quilt tops with
the aid of seasoned quilters. The entire quilt
is a process and fun to work on with the other
ladies.
Many beginners now make beautiful quilts
and projects.
Our quilts are donated to the Cardon’s
Children Hospital, Jose’s Closet and Hope
Women’s Center. |

WATER AEROBICS:
Monday – Friday at 8 AM.
Watch newsletter as time varies in the
winter.
Excellent exercise for all.
Come do what you can.
Men often come also.
It’s not just for ladies!! |

OUTINGS:
Other “fun stuff” includes outing each year.
Some staples include going to Barleen’s
Arizona Opry and Organ Stop Pizza. You have an
idea, bring it up to our current Activity
Director. |
